Madurai Meenakshi Temple

Meenakshi temple complex is within a high-walled structure, at the central part of which are the two sanctums for Meenakshi and Sundareshwara, surrounded by a large number of smaller shrines and majestic pillared halls. Particularly their soaring towers rise from solid granite bases, and are enclosed with stucco figures of dieties, legendary animals and monsters painted in vibrant colors.

Easy Recipes of Tamil Nadu

The early history of Tamil Nadu dates back about 6000 years. The Tamils belong to the Dravidian race and were part of the early Indus Valley settlers. Later with the Aryan invasion, the Dravidians were forced to remain back into the deep-south, where they finally settled. The present day states of Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh constitute the Dravidian culture.
