Tipu Sultan of Mysore

"It is far better to live for two days like a lion than for two hundred hears like a lamb." These valiant words came from the lips of Tipu Sultan, the famed martyr in the cause of freedom. His own life established the truth of this statement. He brawled like a lion against the British for safeguarding India's freedom and died like a lion on the battle field. The epitaph on his tomb describes him as the "King of Martyrs" and is a fitting compliment to his memory. Read more

Saina Nehwal - Ace Shuttler of India

The 20 year old Indian Ace Shuttler Saina Nehwal is the first Indian woman to win a super series tournament (The Super Series tournament is roughly equivalent to a Grand Slam in tennis) when she occupy the 2009 Indonesian Super Series and Currently ranked number 3 in the world by BWF. Saina is the only Indian woman to reach the singles quarterfinals at the Olympics and the first Indian to win the World Junior Badminton Championships. Saina Nehwal made history on June 21, 2009, becoming the first Indian to win a Super Series tournament by clinching the Indonesian Open at Jakarta with a dazzling victory over higher-ranked Chinese Lin Wang. On June 20, 2010, Saina won her second career super series title by lifting the Singapore Open Super series. Saina's highest career ranking is No 2. read more

Bharathanatyam - Classical Dance of South India

Bharathanatyam (also spelled Bharatanatyam, Bharatnatyam or Bharata Natyam) is a classical dance form originating in South India Chiefly developed in Tamil Nadu that traces its roots back to more than 2,500 years ago. There are numerous classical dance styles accomplished in India of these, Bharathanatyam, the pride of the Southern State of Tamil Nadu, is possibly the most aesthetically and technically progressed. Today, it is one of the very popular and extensively performed dance styles and is practiced by many dancers all over the world. Bharathanatyam developed in the Temples of Tamil Nadu and some other parts of South India, where it was played as an important part of daily worship of the presiding deity of the Temple. About Honey and Honey Bees

Honey Bees are amazing insects that have evidently distinct roles. Between twenty thousand and sixty thousand bees lives in a separate hive with the Queen Bee as the head of the family. In fact the queen bee lays approximately 1500 eggs a day and lives for nearly two years. Honey bees are a division of bees in the Genus Apis, largely distinguished by the production and storage of honey and the construction of perennial, colonial nests out of wax. Honey bees stand for only a small fraction of just about 20,000 identified species of bees. Several other types of related bees make and store honey, but only members of the Genus Apis are real honey bees. read more
